Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.09%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.09%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which rose 4.58% or 9.8 points to trade at 223.8 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 4.02% or 362 points to end at 9356 and Lundbeck A/S (CSE:LUN) was up 3.42% or 7.6 points to 229.5 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA), which fell 2.42% or 10.9 points to trade at 439.1 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) declined 0.91% or 0.9 points to end at 103.1 and ISS A/S (CSE:ISS) was down 0.69% or 0.70 points to 100.15.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 75 to 57 and 22 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.14% or 0.48 to $42.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.63% or 0.28 to hit $45.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.42% or 47.25 to trade at $1997.05 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.14% to 6.2790, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4454.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 92.898.
