Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 2.36%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 2.36%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb), which rose 2.47% or 26.0 points to trade at 1080.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) added 0.23% or 0.2 points to end at 110.4 and Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb) was down 0.34% or 1.8 points to 521.2 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which fell 5.17% or 10.6 points to trade at 193.6 at the close. Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) declined 5.17% or 9.3 points to end at 170.4 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) was down 4.36% or 109.0 points to 2390.0.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 111 to 42 and 19 ended unchanged.

Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.17% or 10.6 to 193.6.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.35% or 0.96 to $70.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.36% or 1.01 to hit $73.38 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.85% or 15.15 to trade at $1773.15 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.13% to 6.5974, while EUR/DKK rose 0.03% to 7.4359.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 96.445.
