Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 2.23%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 2.23% to hit a new 6-months low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were GN Store Nord (CSE:GN), which rose 0.35% or 1.4 points to trade at 396.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) added 0.28% or 7 points to end at 2521 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) was down 0.23% or 2.5 points to 1087.0 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which fell 9.04% or 17.5 points to trade at 176.2 at the close. Netcompany Group (CSE:NETCG) declined 5.08% or 31.50 points to end at 588.00 and Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) was down 4.72% or 36.20 points to 731.20.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 125 to 38 and 12 ended unchanged.

Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) fell to 52-week lows; down 9.04% or 17.5 to 176.2.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.50% or 0.43 to $85.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.57% or 0.50 to hit $87.88 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 7.55 to trade at $1835.05 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.29% to 6.5606, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4431.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 95.580.
